Abstract:
To investigate potential changes to ENSO teleconnections to Africa, in particular Southern and East Africa under a future of increasing greenhouse gas emissions. The work will primarily use the HadCM3 model, initially concentrating on the high emissions A2 scenario and focusing on the rainfall correlations between the region and occurrences on El Nino and La Nina and how these may evolve over the course of the next century and possible mechanisms for these changes.
