| Abstract: |
We are studying Amazonian ecosystem processes using a DGVM that requires climate input data. Access to these datasets will allow us to evaluate these processes under various climate impact scenarios. We plan to use the LPJ-DGVM to simulate carbon and vegetation dynamics and look at interactions with changing fire regimes as fuel and moisture changes dynamically. In addition, we plan to investigate spatial patterns of changing precipitation and their influence on evergreen to grassland transitions.
