Variability and trends of surface parameters with focus on snow cover and albedo

PI: Andreas Roesch
Institution: Institute for Atmospheric and Climate Science
Abstract:
The study would comprise detailed analyses of changes in the surface albedo and thus the net shortwave radiation flux at the Earth’s surface. Within this study, the precipitation variability and the ratio between solid and liquid form will be also investigated as this represents a relevant factor for possibly increased winter flooding over extended parts of Central Europe.
