Study of the Impact of Climate Change on the Hydrologic Regime and Water Resources of Peninsular Malaysia

Abstract:
A quantitative assessment of the possible change of climate on the hydrology and water resources of Peninsular Malaysia is performed by downscaling the climate change simulations at coarse spatial resolution (~410km grid resolution) to the region of Peninsular Malaysia at fine spatial resolution (9km grid resolution) by means of a regional hydroclimate model of Peninsular Malaysia (RegHCM-PM) that is developed and validated during this project.
