Impact of Global Warming on ENSO Phase Change: A Multimodel Study

Abstract:
We will apply the methodology described in Alvarez, F., Cabos, W., and M.J. OrtizBevia, 2005: An assessment of differences in ENSO mechanisms in a coupled GCM simulation, J. Climate, accepted for publication and used for the analysis of the ECHAM4-OPYC IPPC coupled run in a paper accepted for publication in advances in Geosciences, accepted for publication. For this we compare the different groups of ENSO development that we identify with a clustering technique in the control and in the scenario runs.
