Comparison of the AR4 Models 20-Century Water Vapor and Cloud limatologies with Satellite Observations

| Abstract: |
| In this work, we have obtained climatologies of water vapor and cloud liquid water from 17 years of Special Sensor Microwave Imager (SSM/I) observations. We seek to compare these observations with model simulations from the 4th assessment report models in order to discover and assess possible deficiencies in these models, and possibly gain insight into some of the structures evidenced in the observations. |
