Abstract:
Our research is centred on the use of the ocean memory to find new sources of climate predictability in the Mediterranean basin, where the interannual predictability is worse than in most of the regions in the same latitude. It is planned to use OAGCMs to prescribe SST anomalies in some ocean areas which are potential sources of predictability (the Tropical North Atlantic,...), but, before that, we are interested on the study of model data to define the climatology and behaviour of these areas (as well as of the Mediterranean basin).
