| Abstract: |
| We plan to downscale and bias correct 10 GCMs under A2 and B1 emission scenarios to drive the VIC macroscale hydrology model to generate plausible future streaflows through year 2100. These streamflows will then be input into a colorado river reservoir model to assess the likely implications of climate change on the managed water resources of the basin. This reserach will be building upon earlier research we did using the PCM over the colorado basin (Christensen, N.S., Wood, A.W., Voisin, N., Lettenmaier, D.P. and R.N. Palmer, 2004, Effects of Climate Change on the Hydrology and Water Resources of the Colorado River Basin, Climatic Change Vol. 62, Issue 1-3, 337-363, January). |
