EURECA: investigating the uncertainties of ENSO - Monsoon coupling

In this project the link between ENSO and the Indian monsoon in the past and the future is investigated. We do this on the basis of a reduced form model of the Indian monsoon. Comparing the historical record of ENSO and the Monsoon leads to the deduction of the link between these to phenomena. To investigate, whether this link is lasting also under climate change we use the GCM model output from the SRES scenarios to analyze the proposed mechanism.
