| Abstract: |
I am working with Bill Schlesinger and Marie Lynn Miranda at the Nicholas School of the Environment on a project focusing on the environmental justice implications of various climate change risks. As a part of this effort, we would like to map the spatial distribution of climate change impacts generated by global circulation models. This information would be integrated with measures of economic and social vulnerability and adaptability to illustrate those regions that may be most at risk with a changing climate. This analysis would allow us to more rigorously characterize whether low-income populations in developing countries bear a disproportionate burden from climate change. The final product will be a presentation at the Ecological Society of America conference this August and a paper for submission to an academic journal.
