Predictability of Tropical and North Pacific SST

| Abstract: |
Ccompare power spectra of SSTs in both the tropics and North Pacific to observed spectra and the confidence intervals determined from empirically derived dynamical model of SST, Also compare observed correlations between tropical and North Pacific SST with those in the CGCM runs, both for interannual and interdecadal time scales, and variability of CGCM output with modal structures from empirical model.
