Variable: Surface runoff, in kg/[(m^2)-sec]

Point of information: 

Surface runoff in this model is very episodic, being zero at most points and
times. (The intra-annual variability of total runoff (variable mrro) is also 
considerably less than that of many other AMIP2 models.)  This is apparently 
a characteristic behavior of the model's land-surface scheme.
